Specials this weekend January 28- January 31

 

Blue Point Oysters - Spicy vodka cocktail sauce, horseradish and a sherry balsamic mignonette

Soup du Jour- Lobster Bisque

Oyster Rockerfeller- Goat cheese, spinach and hollandaise

Clams Casino- Basil, parmersan, panko bread crumbs with fresh clams, served with drawn butter

Heirloom Green Salad- mixed hydroponic greens tossed in a citrus vinaigrette, orange supremes, red bell pepper, sunflower seeds and topped with a crab-goat's cheese-habnero fritter.

Blue Crab stuffed Ravioli tossed in a basil brown butter along with spinach, roasted tomato, and crabmeat

South Carolina  - pan seared and topped with a citrus buerre blanc and a mango jalpeno salsa and served with house roasted garlic mashed potatoes and haricot vertes.

Whole Red Snapper- whole fish grilled and finished in the oven served with a saffron tomato coulis, roasted potatoes, haricot vertes and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

Steak Au Poivre- Beef encrusted with a sage salt, seared and served with a peppercorn brandy cream and served with mashed potatoes, purple carrots.

Lamb Osso Bucco- Hind shank of lamb braised in a red wine reduction topped with a demi-glaze and served with house roasted garlic mashed potatoes, balsamic grilled roma tomatoes, grilled aspargus, and malted grilled onion.

Without a doubt our busiest night of the year falls on a Sunday this year.  That means you have all weekend to celebrate with that special someone.  We will offer a special menu that night and have a couple of other options to make the night memorable.  Let us know and we can have flowers at your table when you arrive.  We can also arrange a chaffuer service so you can let someone else take care of the driving.

Saluda's would like to welcome Chef Blake Faries to our staff.  Blake has worked in places like Aquaknox in Atlanta, Divine Prime in Myrtle Beach, and Solstice and Rosso in Columbia.  You will start to see his culinary influence immediately in our specials and we are already planning our Spring menu which will feature some exciting new items.

Look for this menu to roll out just after Valentine's Day.

Jumbo lump crab and roasted mushroom risotto, lemon-chive buerre blanc, Parmesan crisp

Hydro Bibb Salad with roasted carmalized pineapple, pineapple vinaigrette, sunflower seeds, goat cheese stuffed dates

Pan seared red grouper over a purple potato gallette, grilled asparagus, roasted shallot soubise, fried shallots

Steak Frites 21 oz. Prime bone-in Ribeye with house cut pommes frites, red onion marmalade, roasted garlic compound butter, with a simple salad in a roasted red onion vinaigrette

Pan Seared Sea Scallops, white truffle-cauliflower puree, asparagus, brown butter

Specials for the week beginning January 11...

Wellfleet Oysters - Out of the Boston area, these will be served on the half shell.  Very sweet and delicate, with one of the most beautiful shells you'll see

Clam Chowder - Stocked with fresh clams and vegetables, this soup will help fight off the cold weather

"Buffalloed" Shrimp with Gorgonzola Slaw - Flash fried shrimp tossed in spicy remoulade with a gorgonzola cheese cole slaw

21 oz  Prime Bone-in Ribeye - with homemade "frites" and roasted tomato-balsamic ketchup

Seared Redfish - Blackened and broiled with a roasted red pepper and goat cheese orzo, carmelized shallot buerre blanc

Malpeque Oysters - Served fresh on the half shell, these oysters are sweet and briny, some of our favorites.

Pecan Encrusted Scallops, pan seared, with a brown sugar bourbon butter

Steak Frites - 21 oz prime bone-in ribeye, served with house made truffled fries and a roasted tomato balsamic ketchup

Grilled Mahi - Proscuitto wrapped mahi served with a honey champagne buerre blanc, roma tomato and goat cheese orzo, and haricot vertes.

We are of course open New Year's Eve.  We are taking reservations from 5:00 to 10:00.  We are wide open right now, but we will definitely fill up.  Check back soon for the specials we will have on NYE, we always do something very special for that evening.
